Empty review. Rimmel London Clear Complextion Pressed Powder

It's time for a long awaited empty review.
I've had this sat around my room the past few weeks and got my butt into gear and did this review!

I didn't end this product on a good note, due to the compact cracking and breaking apart making it near impossible to swirl around on a brush and use on my face, with out having all of the powder drop onto the floor...and then stepped on and crushed into the carpet.
Fun for the hoover...not so much my socks.

So, I've decided to throw it away because there is no saving this little baby.
It's served me well, keeping my foundation in place and making me look not so shiny but now it's time to say goodbye.
It would most definitely be a repurchase but not any time soon, as i have some loose powder to work my way through. As soon as that baby is finished with this will be in my bag!

I used a few Rimmel London Pressed Powder products before i came across this which is called Clear Complexion pressed power, which i bought in a very light/pale shade.

This really helped give me a really nice, even, matte finished look to my make up.
I will hold my hands up and admit that it didn't last for very long as by midday I'd gotten oily in my T-Zone area and usually had to re-apply, which wasn't good when your busy at work, run your hand over your forehead and it's all oily!
I had only then realized that it only really had a lasting stay of 3 hours. Not so good?!!

Having  a pressed powder compact is handy to carry around with you in your bag because when you open it up, you haven't got loose powder spraying everywhere onto your work station or bag.

New Late Video ---- September Favourites!

September is over and its been long gone for quite a while....16 days to be exact!
But in those 16 days things have been so so busy for me that i haven't had any time at all to film or edit or even blog!
Apart from the sneaky writing session I've had at work where I've written out whole future blog posts...shhh.
BUT don't worry! I'm not giving up before I've even begun, so here for you is my new video!

September Favourites!

Apologies for the seriously bad lighting, it gets mega dark when i arrive home and i don't have any special lighting equipment and i cannot afford it right now but i am experimenting on this so please bare with me.
Also.....auto focus went cray-cray in this video. The setting i had it on was totally wrong so don't worry that's the LAST time you see crazy auto focus in my videos!

Please enjoy, thumbs up, comment and subscribe it means the whole world to me!

First Empty Review!

I can’t be the only one who gets sad and happy at the same time you use a product up?
I’m sad because said product might have been my favourite and I’m sad I have no more, of course you would be too!
But then I feel happy because I can go out and buy something new and different!

So this will be my first empties review!
I’ve used up all this product this morning, I even cut it open to scrape all the rest of it out to use, neat trick I saw on YouTube (Life hack!)
It is the Rimmel Primer 105; I had used it before in a make-up master class I took earlier on this year and I thought it was a good product to try out.
Before, I have used quite a few primers and bb creams as primers until I stopped using them altogether because I was unhappy with the look of my skin and how it felt.
When I found this primer in the high-street drug store I was quite glad I’d be able to use it to get that clean finish where your make up will stay on and won’t slide down your face in the next few hours.

When I first squeezed some product out I was quite happy with the consistency and look of it as before I had used really runny liquids or something with a stiff jelly consistency.
It was a gel like liquid and was white in colour, it felt really nice to apply to the skin which I applied with a sponge.
After I applied it to my skin it felt really smooth and silky but a tad greasy and smelt quite strong of soap, to me specifically Dove soap.
It wasn’t a smell that stuck around all day but would last until you put a foundation or powder over but it was still slightly unpleasant.

I don’t think this time around I will buy this product again and I might shop around a bit more for something less smelly and greasy.

Have you used the product? If you have let me know what you think in the comments!

My favourite Drug store Lipstick reviews

So I love trying new lipsticks and at what better price than drug store!?
My two favourite I found were by rimmel in the Kate Moss lasting finish lipstick range.
I actually found these two by watching someone else's Beauty Haul Vlog and i fell in love with the colour. My problem i usually have is that my lips get really dry very quickly so i needed something with a really nice texture that wouldn't dry out so quick and had a long lasting stay, so i can say i was pretty impressed with these!

The first lipstick i bought was 107, I'm used to getting lipsticks that have a name like "Tutti Frutti" "Summers dream" rather then a number.
I will need to repurchase this at some point because when i first got it it was the only lipstick i wore for weeks! It glides on really well for a matte lipstick although because its dark i found it smudged quite easily.
The staying power was very impressive and i went about 5 or so hours without having to top it up and i found it didn't really dry out quickly.

The lipstick is quite dark but its not too dark for my skin tone which i really like.
I got a Collection Gothic lipstick which was very very dark which i feel i can't wear much make up with but with this one i can go with a classic cat eye and some blush.

A couple of months i bought my first lipstick i decided to buy another that i had been passing by the make up counter for some time. This lipstick number is 110.
I had seen various people wear it and i did a few swatches and it looked wonderful but i wasn't 100% on the colour.
When i bought it it was actually reduced in a basket for about less then £2 which made me wonder why, I asked the lady who was doing the reductions and she said it could of been for various reasons one of them could be due to the lipstick being discontinued. From this i haven't checked yet if it is still available to purchase.

I was really surprised because i found i quite liked the colour and how Matte it was and again like its sister it applied really well. But i found out after a few hours i would get waxy clumps all around my lips and a lot of the lipstick had come off so i did have to wipe the lip stick off again and reapply after a few hours.

I hope you liked my review!
